About Auriana Jones
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with several years of clinical experience and more than 10 years of experience in the healthcare field. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges while creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where healing and personal growth can begin.
My journey into mental health began while working in an emergency department during the COVID-19 pandemic. Witnessing the profound effects of grief, trauma, loss, and uncertainty on patients and their families inspired me to pursue a career dedicated to supporting others through life’s most difficult moments. Prior to entering the mental health field, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Health Science with an emphasis in Community Health from California State University, Dominguez Hills. I later worked in a variety of behavioral health settings, including community mental health programs and psychiatric hospitals, before earning my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
I work with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, life transitions, stress, and personal growth. I believe therapy should be a collaborative process where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.
My therapeutic approach is individualized and evidence-based, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, family systems therapy, and psychodynamic principles. I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, and discover new paths forward. I often describe our work together by saying, “You’re the driver, and I’m the GPS. Together, we’ll find the route that works best for you.”
Above all, my priority is to create an environment where you feel safe, supported, and accepted. Whether you’re processing past experiences, navigating current challenges, or working toward future goals, I am committed to helping you build resilience, strengthen relationships, and achieve lasting emotional well-being.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a Bay Area native and proud doodle dog mom. I enjoy camping, reading on my Kindle, trying new recipes, exploring local restaurants, and attending live music events whenever I can.
My goal is to empower you to overcome obstacles, gain confidence, and create a more fulfilling life. I would be honored to support you on your journey and celebrate every milestone along the way.
I look forward to meeting you!
