About Janee Young
I’m Janee Young, a compassionate therapist dedicated to helping individuals build confidence, gain clarity, and create meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy should be a collaborative, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered to overcome life’s challenges.
My approach is rooted in building a genuine therapeutic relationship founded on trust, respect, and collaboration. Together, we’ll identify the barriers holding you back, strengthen your resilience, develop practical coping skills, and cultivate greater peace and well-being. I incorporate mindfulness and evidence-based interventions tailored to your individual goals and experiences.
I am certified in several evidence-based treatment models, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Seeking Safety, and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT). With more than 10 years of clinical experience, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Welfare and a Master’s degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I have extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, family conflict, and identity issues. My primary areas of focus include working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families as they navigate life’s transitions and challenges.
Using a strengths-based, client-centered approach, I strive to help every individual discover their resilience, overcome obstacles, and move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll likely find me spending time with my dogs, trying new recipes in the kitchen, or relaxing with a hand-knitting project.
